It is a bitter fact that menace of terrorism and extremism is not threatening pace and stability of Pakistan only but also of the region as well as the world over as is established from time to time by terrorists attacks in different countries.
Pakistan has been fighting terrorism and extremism for many years , offering heavy sacrifices and greatly been successful in elimination of the twin menace and at the same time offering cooperation to friendly countries mainly neighbouring Afghanistan in overpowering and eliminating the terrorists and has time and again reiterated at the highest civil and military levels that there are no safe havens of terrorists and Islamabad is acting against terror outfits without any discrimination whatsoever not for appeasing other but safeguarding its own national interests.
It is good to note that China, Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to step up their mutual cooperation on counter-terrorism and security and join hands to address the threat posed by terrorism and jointly uphold the security and stability of the three countries and the region at large.
As per reports in the newspapers, decision in this regard has quite appreciably been taken at the Trilateral Vice-Ministerial Consultation on Counter-Terrorism and Security among the three countries held in Chinese capital Beijing on November 7.
The three parties had an in-depth exchange of views on such topics as the current international and regional counter-terrorism situation and trilateral cooperation on counter-terrorism and security.
This has been stated in regular press briefing by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying who also said that the participants of the trilateral consultative meeting Pakistan Foreign Ministry Special Secretary Tasnim Aslam and Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Hekmat Khalil Karzai also called on Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and exchanged views with him on matters of mutual interests and also apprised him about Trilateral Consultative meeting deliberations.
Such mutual cooperation between the countries in practical terms will certainly help in elimination of terrorists in all their manifestations in due course of time, please.
