Two militants killed in Lakki gunfight

LAKKI MARWAT - Two militants were killed in a clash with personnel of law enforcement agencies in Tajazai in the area limits of Ghaznikhel police station on Tuesday.
An official said that police and security forces reached the area on information about the presence of wanted militants. He said the law enforcers came under attack when they were laying siege around the hideouts of the militants.
"During the gunfight, two militants identified as Yaseen Wahab and Mobeen were killed," he said.
The official said that both militants were wanted by law enforcement agencies in terrorism-related and other cases.
He added that Yaseen Wahab was a hardcore militant and was wanted by police in 33 different cases including those relating to terrorism and kidnapping.
"To bring Yaseen Wahab into the clutches of law either dead or alive was a tough challenge for the police," the official added, saying local police had approached the provincial home department to fix head money of Rs one million on Yaseen Wahab in the recent past.
"The law enforcers also seized arms and ammunition from the hideout of the militants," he maintained.
