RAWALPINDI-A man was stabbed to death apparently over an old enmity at Sukaran Road in Kallar Syedan, informed sources on Tuesday.

The body of man was moved to THQ Hospital Kallar Syedan for autopsy where he was identified as Muhammad Imran alias Jabir, they said. The killer namely Faheem Akhter managed to escape from the scene against whom police filed a murder case and began investigation.

According to sources, Muhammad Imran was going to his workplace when Faheem Akhter attacked him with a sharp knife at Sukrana Road Chowk in Choha Khalsa, Kallar Syedan. Resultantly, Imran suffered fatal injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment where he died. The killer had fled from the scene, they said. Muhammad Zaheer, uncle of deceased, lodged a complaint with Police Station Kallar Syedan on which a murder case was registered against the accused. Further investigation was underway, they said. A senior police officer told media that police are carrying raid to arrest the killer after filing a case against him.
