Islamabad - State Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar yesterday said that the government has taken effective measures for women empowerment.
Talking to state-run television channel, she said the women parliamentarians are playing a key role in the politics and resolving issues regarding women.
The minister said the women are rendering services in different fields of life including politics, education, health and others.
She said, “The women should take part in politics as I was elected for MNA seat twice in general elections and now working for the development of the country and resolving issues of the constituency.”
Saira Tarar said women have more respect in Pakistani society and there is no gender discrimination in politics, so they must come forward to serve the country.
