Chief praises Motorways police jawans

LAHORE The primary objective of the National Highways & Motorway Police is to provide safety and security to the motorways commuters, said (Motorways) DIG Dr. Muhammad Shafique in a press release issued here on Thursday. The DIG added that in case of an incident or accident, first two minutes are very vital in saving the precious human lives. So, proper handling, treatment and cure of the injured can increase chances of their survival, the release stated. The National Highways & Motorway Police officers have especially been trained to tackle such difficult situations, it added. This is the reason that our officers succeed in saving hundreds of precious lives across the country every year, the release further says quoting the DIG. In order to further enhance the accident dealing skills of the NH&MP officers, courses are being scheduled with the collaboration of Rescue-1122 which is likely to commence shortly. In these courses NH&MP officers will be introduced with the usage of new and innovative techniques of accident dealing. DIG Shafique hoped that these courses will prove helpful in further uplifting the image of the National Highways & Motorway Police as a service-oriented force.
