KARACHI - Special arrangements would be made to regulate flow of traffic on Tariq Road keeping in view the rush during the month of Ramazan
This was decided in a meeting on Saturday chaired by the Karachi Metropolitan Commissioner, Matanat Ali Khan.
Matters pertaining to the traffic management in and around one of the city’s main business centres- Tariq Road, during the month of Ramazan.
It was decided that to deal with the traffic pressures, the Traffic Police would undertake special arrangements.
The City Wardens would also be deployed to assist the Traffic Police, it was further stated. The meeting also decided that the ‘Patharas’ in front of the shopping centres at Tariq Road, would also be removed to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Instructions were also issued to check any illegal charged parking in the area. It was pointed out that in collaboration traffic management in the area. The meeting held at the Civic Centre was specially attended by the MNA Rasheed Godal. The president of Tariq Road Traders Association, M. Aslam Bhatti, and representatives of Traffic Police and City Wardens also attended the meeting.
