Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said Tuesday that we cannot have International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme and the fuel subsidy at the same time.

In his message on Twitter, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail wrote that I have always said that we cannot have the IMF programme and the fuel subsidy at the same time.

He said that the reason for the rise in fuel prices in the country is due to the rise in oil prices in the international markets and the unfunded subsidy given by former prime minister Imran Khan to save his government by ruining country s economy.
