3,400 workers rewarded under Clean Punjab in RY Khan

Rahim Yar Khan  -   In line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision for a Clean Punjab, grand ceremonies were organised across all four tehsils of the district to distribute honorariums of Rs10,000 each, awarded by the Chief Minister to the workers who carried out the grand cleanliness operation during the three days of Eid ul Adha. More than 3,400 workers throughout the district received these honorariums. District officers, public representatives, civil society members, contractors of Bahawalpur Waste Management Company, and field staff participated in these ceremonies.

The main event at the district headquarters was held at Jinnah Hall of the District Council, attended by Deputy Commissioner Khurram Pervaiz, former MPA Chaudhry Muhammad Umar Jafar, PML-N leaders Nasreen Riaz Gujar, Mian Khalid Shaheen, Ahmad Imtiaz, CEO Muhammad Saleem, Chaudhry Arshad Gujar, Muhammad Nabeel Saleem, Muhammad Suhail Saleem, Operational Manager Samiullah, Rizwan Majeed, and officers and field workers from the Clean Punjab Team. Deputy Commissioner Khurram Pervaiz showered flower petals on the Clean Punjab Team’s field workers and paid tribute to the hard work, dedication, and spirit of the heroes of the cleanliness operation.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Khurram Pervaiz said that the Chief Minister had announced an honorarium of Rs. 10,000 for each Clean Punjab worker and staff member. Today, the promise made by the Chief Minister to the workers is being fulfilled. The Chief Minister has commended the workers for maintaining excellent cleanliness during Eid ul Adha. Field workers upheld a high standard of cleanliness in both urban and rural areas despite the extreme heat, a feat recognized and appreciated at every level. He also praised the commitment and effort of the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company and its contractors, stating that this spirit of public service would continue in the future.
