Parliament joint session refers six bills to parliamentary committee

Islamabad: Referring six bills to parliamentary committee for consultation, joint session of the Parliament has been adjourned till April 11.
The committee will finalize its recommendations and proposals on the six bills by the 7th of next month.
Parliament resumed its joint session in Islamabad on Tuesday with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.
The chair announced that the government and opposition have reached a consensus to hold further consultations on the six bills on the agenda today. These bills will be presented again in the joint session on 11th of next month.
These bills include The Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (Conversion) Bill, 2016.
The Joint Session adopted a motion constituting a ten-member committee for preparing recommendations and proposals on the six bills.
The committee will finalize its recommendations and proposals on the six bills by the 7th of next month.
In another motion adopted by the Joint Session, six bills were referred to the ten-member Parliamentary Committee for further consultations and proposals.
Later, the joint session was adjourned to meet again on 11th of next month at 11:00 a.m.
