The Kissan Board Pakistan staged a sit-in outside the office of assistant commissioner against the government’s “anti-farmers policies”.
PKB District President Soofi Muhammad Rashid and other leaders claimed that during the current sowing season, there is 15 percent decline in the cultivation of wheat as the government was giving no attention to the issue of price hike in the prices of fertlisers, seeds, pesticides and diesel.
Later, a delegation of the PKB met with DCO Dr Farah Masood in her office and apprised her about their demands. She assured them that higher authorities will be apprised regarding the issues faced by the growers.
