ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that the government has decided to contact Britain over MQM chief’s anti-Pakistan speech.

He said that the Interior Ministry will hand over a letter, in which the issue of MQM chief’s anti-Pakistan speech is raised, to the Foreign Ministry, which will send it to the British government.

He further stated that in the past they had lodged complaints with the British government but they have always been presented with the argument that freedom of speech in Britain cannot be challenged. He said that this time, however, this argument cannot be accepted because MQM chief, who is a British citizen, was trying to incite anarchy and violence in Pakistan. His speech made people attack media houses and pose threats to property and lives of our people.
