MARDAN - Local police has resolved the blind murder case of a six-year-old girl and arrested two accused involved in her murder, a police official said on Monday.

Addressing to a news conference Superintendent Police (SP) Operations, Shafiullah Khan Gandapur said that Latif Khan, resident of Lundkhwar had registered a complaint about kidnapping of his six-year-old daughter Shab Noor at Lundkhwar police station.

He added that a police party headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Lundkhwar police station, Bakhat Shid Khan started investigation of the case.

He added that police arrested the accused Tahir Badshaw, resident of Lundkhwar.

He added that during interrogation the arrested accused confessed the crime. The accused told police that he with the connivance of other accused identified as Waseem, resident of Lundkhwar kidnapped the girl.

The accused told police that they tortured the girl and later killed her. He told police that they covered her body in a bag and threw her body in the Khati Ghari water canal.

SP Operations told media that police arrested both the accused in 48 hours and recovered the body of the girl.
