KARACHI (PPI) - Oracle and its employees, with Oracles Matching Gifts programme, have raised $398,920 to support victims of recent floods in country. The employee donations and the company match will go to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is currently delivering aid to flood victims. The monsoon flooding was truly devastating for millions of Pakistani families, said M Ahsen Javed, Managing Director, Oracle Pakistan and South Asia Growth Economies - West. I am tremendously proud of how the company and our employees have joined together to support the IFRC and assist the victims of this natural disaster. Pakistans severe monsoon flooding affected more than 20 million people. Thousands have been killed or injured and millions are in need of food, clean drinking water and medical care. The IFRC is the worlds largest humanitarian organization, with 186 member National Societies. Disaster response is the largest part of the IFRCs work and they provide assistance to over 30 million victims of disasters annually.
