KARACHI - A cop was killed here in the limits of Pakistan Bazaar police station on Wednesday. Murad alias Sipahe, a known figure of 90s operation, was gunned down when his motorbike got punctured near Mashallah Coach bus stand. Armed men on two motorbikes shot him seven times and managed to flee. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Deceaseds brother Shah Alam got registered an FIR 312/09 against Muhammad Manzoor, Qayoom alias Bakra, Sabir and Munir alias Video Wala. It is pertinent to mention here that the deceased cop deputed at different police stations of Orangi Town during 1995 to 1998 and later posted at Saeedabad police station. Meanwhile, a man was killed and his wife sustained injuries within the jurisdiction of Quaidabad police station. Police said, Shah Muhammad, 30, had married thrice and supposed to get into another marriage. Some unknown assailants reached his home and resorted indiscriminate firing. On that, Shah Muhammad and his 23-year-old wife Faiza sustained injuries. Both were taken to the hospital where Shah succumbed to injuries while his wife admitted with critical injuries. Police suspected that the brother of Faiza was involved in the murder.
