Islamabad- Capital Development Authority (CDA) Director General Water Management has hoped that there will be no scarcity of water supply due to the upcoming Monsoon and already sufficient storage of water in Simly Dam.
Water supply situation in Islamabad has been discussed and reviewed during a high level meeting held at Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters.

It was decided during the meeting that to overcome water shortages due to load-shedding, tanker services shall be strengthened and made more efficient. For this purpose, tankers with the Sports and Culture Directorate had been handed over to the Water Management Wing to supplement the already existing fleet of water tankers.
Similarly, some more tankers, which are with Environment Directorate, will also be handed over to Water Management Wing for better supply of water and to facilitate the people. It was further decided that a generator of Sports and Culture Directorate would be handed over to I-9 pumping station to beef up the water supply.
CDA has also increased water supply to the city from Simly Dam and it is hoped that citizens will have no problem of water supply during the holy month of Ramadan.
