Former MQM leader and mayor of Karachi, Mustafa Kamal has named his new political party ‘Pak Sarzameen Party’ (PSP), Waqt News reported. He announced the name while addressing a public gathering in Karachi.

Mustafa Kamal said he will keep Pakistani flag as our party flag.

“We are here to unite people not to divide them,” he said. “Pakistan has been divided into different sects, castes and social classes, we want to end it.”

Kamal further said Pakistan is in bad shape today due to corrupt political parties and their leaders. “We have to work together for its progress and we are inviting people from all over the country,” he said. “No one is Sindhi, Punjabi, Pathan or Balochi, all are just Pakistanis for us,” he stated.

Kamal pointed out that there is a need to start work from grassroots level. The former Karachi mayor further pointed out that party has assembled a ‘competitive political team in the last 20 days.

“More people will join us with passage of time,” he said. “Many old workers and members of MQM are present here today which shows that we got the support of people of Karachi.

“We are not here for power or wealth. We are here for serving people of Pakistan as Allah Almighty has given us a second chance,” he claimed.

Kamal returned to Pakistan on March 3, where he announced his new party along with former MQM leader Anis Qaimkhani. He has since been condemning MQM leader Altaf Hussain’s politics and accusing him of been funded by anti-Pakistan elements. Other former MQM leaders have since joined Kamal’s party.
