LAHORE - Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Col (R) Asif Zaman said that all the organizations need to come on one page to bring Pakistan sports’ golden era back.
He expressed these views while talking to Pakistan women taekwondo team and officials, who will participate in World Taekwondo Women Open Championship from Nov 24 to 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) President Col (R) Waseem Janjua was also present on the occasion.
“All national players are our pride. We are expecting good results from our national women team. It’s my wish to see taekwondo further flourishing in Pakistan. The experience of COAS Pakistan Open International Taekwondo Championship held earlier this month would help our athletes in this event,” he said.
Col (R) Waseem Janjua said sports federation bringing medals at international events must be given full support from govt and private sectors to boost their morale. “Our athletes have trained well for the said event, and are taking national spirit with them to give their best to stand on the victory podium. This event will be an opportunity for our players increase their international rankings and prepare for future events.”
