RDA meets in connection with anti-dengue campaign

Rawalpindi-A meeting was held on Thursday in Rawalpindi Development Authority in connection with the anti-dengue campaign. 
The meeting was chaired by Director General (DG) RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa during which Assistant Director Building Control Ali Raza gave a detailed briefing.
DG RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has directed the RDA under-controlled housing schemes to focus on anti-dengue campaign. It is their responsibility to organize cleanliness themselves and call on anti-dengue teams. 
He said that if larvae were not found, it means there is no activity. He directed to take this work seriously so that the larva could be detected.
The DG RDA directed the five housing schemes to hire entomologists for complete dengue sanitation and prevention from it.
He further directed that respectable citizens should be requested to take special care and priority measures for cleanliness and said that water should not be allowed to accumulate in the open spaces and corners of the house, especially keeping an eye on plant pots and water coolers. He requested the general public to use mosquito repellent spray regularly. He said that especially the water drainage system should be reviewed so that there is no stagnant water in any part which becomes a breeding ground for dengue.
The DG RDA has nominated Assistant Director Planning Mehwish Naseem as the focal person for housing schemes which come under the RDA control regarding anti-dengue campaign.
Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering RDA Malik Ghazanfar Ali, Deputy Director Planning Samiullah Niazi, Deputy Director Admin Iftikhar Ali, other RDA officers and five housing schemes’ anti-dengue focal persons including Bahria Town, Faisal Town, Top City, University Town and Mumtaz City participated in the meeting.
