ISLAMABAD - Muhammad Naeem has assumed the charge as Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) for a period of three years.
He was previously working in the capacity of Member Fuel Cycle in PAEC. Naeem brings to his key assignments rich academic accomplishments, a wealth of professional experience and an unwavering commitment. Naeem succeeded Dr Ansar Parvez who remained chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission for six years.
Naeem joined PAEC on 18th November 1972 and served in various responsible positions. In recognition of his meritorious services, he was decorated with Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz. He contributed significantly in country's nuclear fuel cycle projects.
Naeem is the 8th chairman of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission since its inception. Dr Nazir Ahmad, Dr IH Usmani, Munir Ahmed Khan, Dr Ishfaq Ahmad, Parvez Butt, Anwar Ali and Dr Ansar Parvez have served the Commission in the same capacity, earlier.
