LAHORE - Headmaster Government Boys High School, Chamra Mandi, Shabbir Ahmad Sipra has said that it is the need of the hour to create awareness among our youth regarding two-nation theory and Pakistan Movement through lectures, distribution of literature and display of luminaries' pictures in our respective houses. He was addressing a ceremony under the aegis of Ideological Education Mobile Unit of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust under its Pakistan Awareness Programme. He said we should celebrate birthdays of Pakistan movement leaders as we celebrate our own birthdays and hoist national flag on rooftop of houses at least on special occasions and emblem flags, pictures of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal on our shirts. Besides this we should publish material highlighting world's biggest migration which took place in 1947 so that our new generation could know how Hindus massacred innocent Muslims and forced them to leave India. He said we were indebted to Pakistan as this country had given us a lot of comforts. Had Pakistan not came into being, we still have been leading miserable lives. A senior teacher Hafiz Asif Anwar said that we should educate our students in such a way that they feel proud of being a Pakistani and for having a rich heritage. We have to create in them self-respect and confidence so that no one from other nations could claim that Pakistani nation is valueless and could be cowed down. In-charge Pakistan Awareness Programme Prof Saeed Sheikh also addressed the students and highlighted the Two-Nation Theory and differentiated the forces that opposed and supported the establishment of Pakistan. He also stressed upon the students for getting higher education so that country could progress and prosperity, he added. He distributed prizes among students who answered correctly to the questions taken from the lecture and recited Allama Iqbal verses correctly.
