Shell hits Khar house; five civilians killed

PESHAWAR - At least five persons were killed and six others injured when a mortar shell landed on a house on Saturday in Khar, Headquarters of Bajaur Agency. As per details, a mortar shell, fired by the security forces against militants during the ongoing operation, landed on a house and killed five persons on the spot and injured six others. Meanwhile, the local administration recovered on Saturday three dead bodies, dumped along a roadside near Khar. All the three persons were killed by militants on the charges of spying for the US coalition forces and the local security forces, the letter tied to their dead bodies said. Moreover, the tribesmen are still migrating from Bajaur area to other comparatively safer places in different parts of the NWFP. They have alleged that the security forces have been targeting the civilian population, instead of militants' hideouts, and killing the innocent people.
