Accountability court sends Qasim Zia on 14 day judicial remand

LAHORE: An accountability court sent former Pakistan People’s Party Punjab President Qasim Zia on a 14-day judicial remand.

Qasim Zia is accused of committing stock market fraud of over Rs100 million.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Qasim Zia and his partner Usman Saeed on August 08.

They are accused of selling fraudulent shares and committing stock market fraud through a company.

It is pertinent to mention that Qasim Zia played hockey for 7 years representing Pakistan and holds an Olympic Gold medal.

Qasim Zia has also served as the former chairman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
