ISLAMABAD - Army’s male and female players dominated the national archery trials conducted by Pakistan Archery Federation (PAF) for the Olympic qualifying round to be held in Thailand. The archers from provinces and departments including Army and Police took part in the trials. The most interesting thing to be noted was that the trials were conducted from 30, 50 and 70 meters also for the very first time in Pakistan archery history. Army grabbed top positions in both male and female categories. A total of 10 archers were short-listed for the national training camp. Idress (Army) took first position, Rafaqat (Army) second and war-wounded soldiers Sajjad and Amir shared third position jointly. In female category, Rabia Momin (Army) grabbed top position while Punjab won second and third.
