ISLAMABAD: A local court earlier today granted the pre-arrest bail of Asif Nazar alias Dj Butt. Islamabad Assistant Commissioner Secretariat approved pre-arrest bail of PTI’s DJ after he appeared before the court.

A case was registered against DJ Butt at the Secretariat Police Station in Islamabad on charges of violating Section 144 and sections of amplifier act.

Earlier on Friday, Islamabad Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Waqas Rasheed had issued arrest warrants for Butt after he failed to appear before the court in a case pertaining to the violation of a ban on the use of loudspeakers in the capital. Butt appeared before the assistant commissioner’s court and gave assurances that he would appear before the court whenever needed.

Today, the court granted bail to DJ Butt until September 3 and directed him to furnish a security bond worth Rs.100,000 for his release. The hearing of the case has been adjourned until September 3.
