Health, education KP govt’s top priority: Ghani

TARBELA GHAZI - The PTI government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would not tolerate any lethargy in the provision of health facilities to patients at government hospitals, Provincial Information and Higher Education Minister Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani said yesterday.
He said that health and education are the two main priorities of the PTI since its getting rule in the province over two years back. “We have imposed an emergency in these two important sectors as they directly impact on socio-economic life of the people,” said the minister during his visit to the District Headquarter Hospital Abbottabad.
During his visit, he inspected cleanliness system, provision of medicines and other facilities and also announced to reconstruct the hospital building.
He visited every department of the hospital, inspected cleanliness level, provision of medicines and other facilities.
At the occasion, the minister shown his resentment on the cleanliness of the hospital terming it poor and strictly directed the Medical Superintendent to improve the services.
He also revealed that the hospital building would be reconstructed comprising three storeys including a children ward with the estimated cost of 2300 million rupees.
