Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday listened to complaints of electorates in his constituency and issued directives for its redressal.

The PML-N stalwart held an open court at PML-N House Paris Road in Sialkot where a large number of people showed up with different complaints about problems they faced with.

Kh Asid gave a sympathetic ear to these complaints and issued on the spot instructions on various applications. He said that the government is committed to resolving the masses problems. He said that the government would provide relief to people at their doorsteps.

Local MPAs — Ch Muhammad Ikram, Mansha Ullah Butt and Ch Arshad Javaid Warraich were also present on the occasion.

CHEMICAL-LADEN MILK SEIZED: A team of the district health department seized 200 litres of chemical-laden milk being transported in a van. The seizure was made during a snap-checking at the city’s congested Allama Iqbal Chowk on Sunday.

EDO (Health) Dr Javed Warraich said that the accused identified as Khalid Nasir had brought the chemical-laden milk to Sialkot from Mandi Bahauddin for sale. The Kotwali Police have registered a case against the accused.

SUICIDE: A Sambrial-based unemployed youth Qasim Ali, 22, committed suicide by jumping into Upper Chenab Canal near Malkhaanwala-Sambrial on Sunday. The rescuers of Rescue 1122 fished out his dead body from the canal.

Deceased Qasim Ali was unemployed sine long and was much depressed, which forced him to commit suicide.
