Unwise policies driving agri-sector to destruction: PKI

PAKPATTAN

The incumbent government, through imprudent policies, has pushed the agriculture sector to the verge of destruction, causing multiple problems for 70 percent population of the country.
Spokesman for Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI) Akhtar Khan Baloch accused the present PML-N government of crushing the agriculture sector. He said that the government’s anti-agriculture policies have left disastrous impact on 70 percent population of the country. He declared that the sit-in in front of Punjab Assembly would continue till acceptance of demands raised by the farming community.
The PKI spokesman threatened that the farmers would be constrained to march on Islamabad if their demands are not accepted.
He said that the country cannot progress until the agriculture sector is promoted and protected.
