LAHORE   -  Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Monday presented a cheque worth Rs1 million to Muhammad Taqi, Yusuf Ali, Mushtaq Ahmad, Muhammad Hassan and Ali Durrani of Ghanche district who climbed the K2 without supplemental oxygen.

The CM congratulated them and termed the climbers a valuable asset to Pakistan. “Climbing the K2 with meagre resources is a proud achievement,” the CM stated and called them pride of the nation. He said the government would continue encouraging the talented youth who have set a worthy example. Team leader Muhammad Taqi appreciated the CM for encouraging them and boosting their morale. Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, health secretary and others were also present on the occasion.
