In this day and age

We, the resident of Sindhi Jamait Cooperative Housing Society situated at the main National Highway (Bin Qasim Town) would like the postal authorities to provide us with a postal facility for our Society and the adjoining areas. The total population of the area that is deprived of this facility is no less than 10,000. Non-availability of a letterbox here is causing a lot of problems for the residents. To post a letter, we have to go to Quaidabad, which is about 4/5 km away. A lot of precious time is lost in this little chore besides an expense of at least Rs 20 on private transport. Please install a letterbox outside the premises of our Society. -RESIDENTS of SJCHS, Karachi, via e-mail, December 17.
