ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad police have arrested eight accused of two criminal gangs involved in numerous robbery and motorbike theft incidents, recovered motorcycles and cash, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

Following instructions of senior police high-ups, special police team   arrested four accused of a bike lifters gang.

The accused were identified as Hasnain alias Ehtsham, Samar Abbas, Hamd Tariq and Farman Ullah resident of Nehi Abadi Bhara and recovered four motorbikes and spare parts from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile,  Tarnol police arrested four members of a dacoit gang.

The accused were identified as Muhammad Tariq, Yasir Ali, Hassan Ali and Muhammad Irfan and recovered cash and arm ammunition used in crime. The accused   also involved in numerous cases of robberies in different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the accused  and further investigation is underway.
