Traffic police policy for door-to-door licensing

The city traffic police on Tuesday issued the schedule for the new driving licences under the door-to-door policy in order to accommodate maximum applicants.
A police spokesperson said that the initiative had been taken on the direction of the Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sohail Chaudhry to entertain the citizens applying for Leaner permits and fresh driving licenses as well.
As pre the plan, the mobile units of the Lahore traffic police would set-up testing camps at the Peer Ghazi Road in the Ichhra area on Wednesday. Similarly, the testing camps would be set up at the Raiwind Road on Thursday and in the Sadar Cantonment area on Friday. A mobile leaner team and six units would also visit the suburbs of Lahore at the Badian Road for six days not only to accommodate the applicants but also to educate the general public about the importance of traffic rules.
CTO Sohail Chaudhry has directed the traffic police officers to provide maximum facilities to the citizens.–Staff Reporter
