CDA suspends water tanker service on directives of security agency

Islamabad- Capital Development Authority (CDA) has suspended water tankers service for the citizens of Islamabad under the directives of security agency on the basis of intelligence reports.
The suspension of water tanker service can add to the miseries of citizens and can aggravate water problems in federal capital in the wake of prevailing water shortage situation when almost 600 complaints are made daily. As many as 17 water tankers have been deployed to address water supply complaints from the citizens daily. Now these tankers have been withdrawn from providing service.
CDA said that an officer of Rangers had come in its  G-10 inquiry office and ordered that water tanker service be stopped forthwith due to threat of terrorism.
