Quetta- Four workers drowned when floodwater entered into coal mines and as many as 300 houses were destroyed due to rain in Quetta today.

The meteorological officers said that Quetta, Dalbandin, Loralai, Mastung, Kalat, Nushki, Kharan and Panjgor districts of Quetta and other parts of Balochistan received heavy rain. Flood emergency has been declared and 300 houses have been completely destroyed. Meanwhile, the floodwater entered the coal mines, due to which four workers were drowned. Only two bodies have been recovered so far. A passenger bus, a trailer and five other cars got stuck in water.
