Former Australian opener David Warner has been named the captain of Karachi Kings for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.

Renowned for his explosive batting and fearless approach, Warner brings extensive leadership experience, having captained in major T20 leagues, including the Big Bash League (BBL). A two-time World Cup winner, he is regarded as one of the most dangerous T20 openers in the game.

Karachi Kings secured Warner as their first Platinum category pick in the PSL 10 Players Draft, held on January 13, 2025, at Lahore’s historic Hazoori Bagh.

The franchise expressed gratitude to last season’s captain, Shan Masood, acknowledging his efforts in shaping a well-balanced squad and fostering team harmony in PSL 9. Karachi Kings’ owner, Salman Iqbal, welcomed Warner, stating: “His leadership and match-winning performances align perfectly with our team’s vision.” He also praised Shan Masood for laying a strong foundation and confirmed his continued role in the squad.

PSL 10 is set to commence on April 11, 2025, with Karachi Kings playing their opening match on April 12 at National Bank Stadium, Karachi, against Multan Sultans.
