Tom and Katie pitch fit at tot shop

FUMING parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are threatening to give a tony baby boutique a big time out. The couple sicced their lawyers on Petit TrTsor, the Hollywood hot spot for the celebrity baby-bump set, warning the owners to stop blabbing about what they bought. Cruise and Holmes are miffed about a recent article in Life & Style magazine claiming they've bought some $400,000 worth of merchandise for their daughter, Suri, over the last two years.  "Not only does this statement violate our clients' confidentiality, but it is simply false," the couple's lawyer, Aaron Moss, wrote in a letter to the store owners last week.  The owners did not return a call for comment.  Moss charged that Samantha Winch and her staff have leaked bogus tips to the tabloids about Cruise and Holmes shopping sprees to boost the store's profile. "This conduct violates our clients' rights of privacy and rights of publicity," Moss wrote in the letter, a prelude to a suit.  "Accordingly, we hereby request that you no longer use our clients as part of your public relations and marketing efforts."  Since Cruise and Holmes began shopping there in 2006, Petit TrTsor has become a favorite for new and expectant celebrity moms, including Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears.  - New York Daily News
