UN lauds Pakistan stall as one of Best in World Humanitarian Summit Exhibition Fair

ISTANBUL: First-ever World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) is being held at Istanbul, Turkey under the auspices of United Nations 

Renowned personalities in the field of humanitarian affairs from Government Departments, UN Agencies, Foreign Missions, Donor Agencies, Civil Society, and Philanthropist Organizations are participating in the event.

The World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) is an initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General to forge new partnerships and find better ways to meet humanitarian needs. The Summit aims at re-inspiring and reinvigorating commitment to humanity, initiate set of concrete actions and commitments for better preparation and response and share innovations and best practices that can help to save lives around the world.

Pakistan, as a Member State, with a credible standing in humanitarian crises management is actively participating in WHS to explore opportunity for Pakistan to showcase the achievements for Global viewership and sharing of best practices in the domain of disaster management/humanitarian response.

National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan (NDMA) is also hosting an Exhibition Fair and Innovative Marketplace during the Summit. Pakistan’ s stall exhibits photo of Father of the Nation and projects Pakistan’s Humanitarian Response Activities in an impressive manner.

The exhibition was inaugurated by UN Assistant Secretary General and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator OCHA, Ms. Kyung Wha Kang. She visited NDMA Exhibition Fair and lauded Pakistan’s stall as one of the best in World Humanitarian Summit Exhibition Fair and also appreciated Pakistan’s contributions in humanitarian affair.
