At least 16 persons were killed and 25 others injured in collision between passenger bus and trailer here in Kark in the wee hours Saturday.
According to police, a passenger bus coming from Karachi collided head-on with a reckless driven over speeding trailer coming from opposite direction at Indus Highway in Ispina area of Karak.
As a result of collision 10 persons were killed on the spot while over two dozens sustained injuries.
The police in assistance with rescue personnel and local people shifted the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Karak where six more persons succumbed to their wounds raising death toll to 16. Four among the injured with serious wounds were later referred to Peshawar for treatment.
The injured passengers told the media persons that accident was resulted due to over speeding and reckless driving of both drivers.
The police took both vehicles into custody and started the investigation.
