LAHORE – In accordance with the decision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, newly established Ameerud Din Medical College is going to start its first academic session during current year. The Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Administration has finalized all necessary arrangements in this regard. In order to provide class rooms and offices for Ameerud Din Medical College, the administration of Services Medical Institute, acting upon the directions of Punjab Health Department, has started vacating rooms and other structure under its usage at PGMI since last 8 years. After the vacation of the entire portions occupied by SMI, the PGMI & LGH administration will be able to start the classes of this 100 seats medical college.

Principal PGMI and LGH Prof. Anjam Habib Vohra said that skills and experience of faculty members already teaching post graduate students would be helpful for students. He said that it is the need of the hour to set up new institutions of health education to cater the needs of fast growing population in the country.
