QUETTA
Frontier Corps personnel foiled a major terror bid as it seized a truckload of explosive devices but the culprits managed to escape here late Thursday night. "On a tip off the security men intercepted explosives-laden vehicle in Gulistan area of Quetta", said a FC spokesperson. The security forces when signalled the suspected vehicle to stop, with four persons on board for identity, the driver instead of stopping sped away.
The FC personnel chased the vehicle but the riders leaving the vehicle by roadside managed to escape.
Upon search of the vehicle around 20 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), rocket-propelled-grenade launchers, landmines and detonators were recovered.
