PPP MNA Jamshed Dasti has decided in principle to contest election against foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar in coming elections even at the cost of quitting party.

Dasti is keeping mum over the show cause notice issued to him by party in this regard and if a second show cause notice is sent to him, he will give reply by holding a press conference, sources told Online.

Jamshid Dasti has determined to contest election against Hina Rabbani Khar on National Assembly (NA) seat, sources added.

Sources further said Faryal Talpur convened meeting of key local political figures and party leadership of district Muzaffargarh and Jamshed Dasti was also present therein. All the leaders of the party lodged complaints against Dasti on his alleged interference in the constituencies of others during the meeting.

PPP Punjab Assembly Member Arshad Sial from Muzaffargarh leveled  serious charges against Dasti and this stance on his part led to a brawl between Sial and Dasti. Upon it Faryal Talpur gave shut up call to Dasti and warned against interfering in others constituencies.

Sources told Online that President Zardari also said to Dasti in Aiwan-e-Sadr that such complaints and allegations against him should not come to him in future otherwise stern disciplinary action would be initiated against him.

Sources said this was for the first time that Moazzam Khan Jatoi, cousin of PPP MNA, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Jatoi unleashed heaps upon heaps allegations against Dasti.

Sources close to Dasti and candidate for provincial assembly seat from Khan Pur Chaudhry Aamir Karamat told Online that Dasti on the desire of people has decided to contest election against Hina Rabbani Khar because of deep rooted sense of deprivation among voters of the constituency.

Sources said Dasti will contest election against Hina Rabbani Khar if party awards ticket to him in his respective constituency and if party does not allocate ticket even then he will contest polls from two constituencies including his own and that of Hina Rabbani Khar as independent candidate.
