SARGODHA/SHEIKHUPURA - Dozens of Alm and Zuljinnah processions including category A-10, B-13, C-57 were taken out on 8h of Muharram from different areas of both the districts.

In Sargodha over 6,000 security personnel were deployed for 8th Muharram processions. The main procession in the city was taken out from Block-20 in the jurisdiction of the City Police.

The police adopted elaborated security for the occasion AND 318 police personnel comprising of a SP, two DSPs, five Inspectors, 18 upper sub-ordinates, Constables, Elite Police Force and Ladies Police personnel performed duty during the mourning procession.

The procession proceeded towards its destination at Imambargah Block-7 after passing through, Sharbat Chowk, Muhammadi Bazaar, Amin Bazaar, Kutchehri Bazaar, Karkhana Bazaar, and Noori Gate. The route of procession had been blocked through barriers and surrounded by barbed wire barricades.

SHEIKHUPURA, dozens of Alm and Zuljinnah processions were taken out on 8th of Muharram across the district which culminated peacefully.

Stringent strict measures were adopted by the police and all areas around the processions routes were cordoned off to avoid any unpleasant incident.

DPO Rana Abdul Jabbar personally not only monitored the processions but also remained on different roads and issued on the spot instructions to avoid any untoward incident.

More than 3,000 police personnel have been deployed and all the roads leading to Imambargahs have been sealed off to ensure security for processions, the DPO told to this scribe.
