LAHORE - Nespak in joint venture with HP Gauff Ingenieure GMBH & Co, Germany has won engineering supervision of Obudu Dam Rehabilitation work in Nigeria.

Obudu dam is in Cross River State in the south east of Nigeria. It is an earthfill structure with a height of 18m, total crest length of 425m and storage capacity of 4.2 million cubic meters. It is a multipurpose dam and was commissioned in 1999 for use in farm irrigation, fishing, potable water supply and also for recreational and tourism purposes.

According to a press release, the Nespak, architectural and engineering consultancy firm of Pakistan, operates nationally and internationally. It has office in 6 countries and has worked in more than 36 countries.

The winning of this project in international competition shows Nespak’s standing internationally and is consistent with its policy of expanding business overseas. Good management practices and high technical expertise has made Nespak the only Government owned private enterprise showing remarkable profits, especially in the last few years.
