NANKANA SAHIB - The parents of young man on Friday accused the Lahore Shahdra Police of killing their son in a fake shootout and demanded the Punjab CM and the Inspector general of Police to take notice of the police 'brutality' and provide them with justice.

As per details, Fiaz Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, a labourer at brick-kiln at Thatha Essa, went to Lahore to earn a living for his family one week ago. His crying father Bashir Ahmed and mother claimed while talking to the journalists that their 25-year-old son Fiaz Ahmed was killed by the Lahore Shahdra Police in a fake shootout. They alleged that their son was going on a donkey-cart early in morning at around 6:30am on November 21. When he was passing near Shagian Bypass the police personnel opened fire, killing him instantly. They also alleged that the police handed over their son's body after two days.

On the other hand, according to police sources, Fiaz Ahmed along with his 5 accomplices was taking away stolen cable and motor of the Lesco. On the way a police party signalled them to stop but they instead started firing on them which was retaliated by the police. Resultantly Fiaz died on the spot while his five accomplices managed to escape the scene.

Meanwhile, brick-kiln owner Muhammad Yasin Bhatti and brick-kiln Mehaz Chairman Dr Shahdat Ali Gharu informed media that victim was not a criminal and there was no any criminal case whatsoever against him. The bereaved family demanded the Punjab CM to provide them with justice and take stern action against the police officials responsible for the killing of their son.
