MARDAN – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district chapter, Information Secretary, Riaz Painda Khel advocate appreciated the efforts of Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Mohammad Khan, for supremacy of law.
Talking to TheNation, Member of the District Bar Association, Riaz Pandakhel advocate said that high judiciary has played an important role in the current time. He said that the higher judiciary takes suo moto actions in different issues and provided relief to the masses. He said that higher judiciary provided relief to the masses in CNG prices and also blocked the way of corruption. He added that under the supervision of Chief Justice of PHC the judiciaries of the province become strengthened.
He added that recently Chief Justice of PHC visited Mardan and addressed Mardan bar members. He added that large number of lawyers of Swabi, Charsadda, Takhatbhai and Nowshera also attended that meeting which shows the lawyers loyalty and love towards the Chief Justice and higher judiciary. He said that Chief Justice during his speech also announced the establishment of the high court registry branch in the Mardan district, which has started work in Mardan.
He added that after the opening of registry branch in Mardan the lawyers and people belonging to Mardan, Buneir and other areas got great benefit and now they easily submit their cases in Mardan registry branch instead of going to Peshawar. He added for the supremacy and rule of law independent judiciary is necessary. He added that now the judiciary of Pakistan is independent and for this aim layers and masses gave great sacrifices. He added that lawyers of Mardan district would fully support the higher judiciary in the implementation of rule of law.
Meanwhile, Awami National Party office-bearer from a Mardan’s union council has warned the party that all the party workers from the UC will quit if the chief minister does not take notice of misuse of uplift funds.
Mohammad Khan, vice president of Awami National Party (ANP), union council Gujrat, threatened that if Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti did not take notice of the misuse of developmental funds through an non-elected person all the office bearers of the union council as a protest will quit their offices.
He expressed these views in a statement issued here. Mohammad Khan said that Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti approved 75,000 funds for Gujrat union council and issued directives to use this fund through ANP organization. He added that the mentioned fund was used through a non-organisation person and he also put signboard of his name on these developmental works.
