LEAs' crackdown against TLP workers continues

Law Enforcement Agencies’ (LEAs) crackdown against Tehreek-e-Labbaik-Pakistan (TLP) workers continued on Saturday as, according to sources, more than 700 activists of TLP had been arrested.

It was highly possible that TLP Chief Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi could be detained for 80 days. However, currently he was detained for 30 days. The TLP workers arrested from Twin-Cities - Rawalpindi and Islamabad - have been shifted to Adiala jail. These activists have been arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance.

More than 1,075 people have been arrested across Punjab province under the MPO ordinance. Sources stated that no new case was registered against the TLP leadership and its activists.
