FAISALABAD - A woman was killed while two others received injuries in a roof collapse in Ghulam Muhammad Abad police limits on Friday.
A Rescue 1122 spokesman said the roof caved in during its repair in Fateh Abad Street No 2, Chak No 219-RB, Tandlianwala Road. As a result, 50-year-old Naziran Bib, her son Ali, 30, and infant Junaid Ashraf were trapped under the debris. On information, the Rescue 1122 pulled out the injured from the debris and shifted them to Government General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad where Naziran Bibi died while condition of the others was stated to be serious.
MOTORCYCLE SNATCHERS GANG BUSTED
Gulgasht police Multan on Friday arrested three criminals and recovered stolen valuables from their possession in an operation. The ‘Nisar gang’, notorious for involvement in motorcycle snatching and theft incidents, yielded recovery of two motorcycles, cash, all valuing Rs300,000, besides a 30-bore pistol, said police spokesman.
The investigation process helped police resolve five motorcycle snatching/lifting cases during interrogation of accused including ring leader Nisar besides Bilal and Sikandar.
MOTORCYCLIST DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT
A motorcyclist crushed to death as over-speeding tractor trolley ran over him near Siper No 1 Multan Road on Friday.
According to Rescue officials, a 25-years-old youth namely Ghulam Abbas, resident of Doaba, was going somewhere riding on motorcycle when suddenly a tractor trolley hit him at Multan Road.
As a result, he sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Rescue team shifted the body to district headquarters hospital. Sadar police registered the case and started legal action into the incident.
