ISLAMABAD (APP) - The decision of federal government to observe two weekly holidays has been implemented but some banks and educational institutions remained opened Saturday. The courts and post offices have decided not to observe two weekly holidays and would continue to work as usual. The government offices and banks were closed Saturday throughout the country but many government institutions remained opened in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a private news channel reported. Also, normal educational activities continued at International Islamic University in Islamabad. Sindh University, Mehran University and Liaquat Medical University remained opened. State Bank said bank or financial institutions staff could conduct their office work but public dealing will not be allowed.
