KARACHI - An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement was killed in the incident of target killing in the limits of Nazimabad police here on Saturday. The victim, Haider, son of Mian Muhammad, was sitting with his brother-in-law outside House No B-269 near an inquiry office when two unidentified armed men riding on motorbikes fired at him after confirming his name, police said. The snipers, however, managed to flee from the scene leaving Haider and Jamshed in a pool of blood. Haider received two bullet injuries while his brother-in-law Jamshed also sustained a bullet injury in his leg, the police said, adding they were rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced Haider dead. The police added that the deceased was the brother of slain-MQM Haqiqi activist Mullah Rehmat, who too was killed two years back in an incident of target killing. Haider was affiliated with the Amir Khan Group. The dead body was shifted to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
