QUETTA - Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has stressed the need for promoting education for development and prosperity, saying that elimination of backwardness from the province and country was out of question without education.
“The ministers and donors should come forward for the cause,” he said while addressing the 7th convocation of Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITMS) here on Tuesday.
The governor appreciated BUITMS administration for imparting quality education to the youth belonging to backward areas of the province and assured that all possible help would be extended to remove its difficulties. “The development of any nation and society is linked with its better education,” he added. “I had previously appealed to all elected representatives to allocate funds for the improvement of education. I once again urge them to provide maximum funds so that improvement could be brought in education sector.”
He expressed his dismay over absence of provincial ministers in the convocation. However, he thanked those ministers who had provided funds for education.
