Reshuffle in federal cabinet on the cards

Islamabad - Prime Minister Imran Khan has started consultations with close party aides for appointing a new accountability adviser, it was learnt reliably.

Several names including the name of Senator Barrister Saif are being considered as adviser to the PM on accountability. Sources also indicated that there will be a reshuffle in the federal cabinet in the current week and many important ministers will be reshuffled. 

“Prime Minister Imran Khan will now be playing performance innings before the nation”, a party source commented after the meeting. Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan chaired the CEC meeting of ruling PTI in which strategy for the next round of LG polls in KP and upcoming elections in ICT and Punjab came under discussion. Party preparations for LG polls were discussed in the meeting and it was decided that election campaign will be made more effective to get maximum results. Prime Minister finalised names of the candidates for district mayors in the districts where PTI got majority.

PM chairs meeting of party spokespersons

PM also chaired the meeting of party spokespersons and party leaders separately at the PM office, which discussed prevailing political situation in the country. Speaking in the meeting, the PM made it clear that there was no deal with Sharif family and PML-N deliberately spreading rumors about any so-called deal to create a favorable atmosphere for them, which would be countered well by the PTI leaders. 

 

“Any deal with the Sharif family will be tantamount to treason with the nation”, PM Imran Khan told party leaders. 

He directed party spokespersons and leaders to counter propaganda against his government by opposition. 

He said PML-N used Rana Shamim however entire conspiracy had been exposed before the court of law.
